SOME OF WHAT WE’VE DONE IN OUR COMMUNITY:

  • Provided over $100,000 in college scholarships to more than 100 local high school students
  • Hosted foreign exchange students
  • Hosted American Red Cross blood drives.
  • Participated in the annual Wissahickon Creek clean-up.
  • Provided financial support to:
    • Ambler YMCA
    • Ambler YMCA Knight’s Park Summer Camp
    • Wissahickon Valley Library
    • Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard
    • Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association
    • Wissahickon Fire Company
    • Head Start
    • Face to Face of Germantown
  • Mentor and support local high school Interact Clubs
  • Mentor and support Montgomery County Community College Rotaract Club
  • Funded the Centennial Bridge over the Wissahickon Creek
  • Provided $70,000 for renovation of the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard building.
  • Supported the annual Kris Kringle Christmas to help families with serious adolescent medical issues have a better Christmas.
  • Sponsor a “student of the month” program honoring local high school students
  • Partnered with Ambler Main Street and the Borough of Ambler to sponsor the Ambler Arts and Music Festival.
  • Established the Rotary Club of Ambler Endowment at Montgomery County Community College providing scholarships to local students.
  • Supported tree planting in the Wissahickon Valley Watershed
  • Purchase 2 AED devices for the Wissahickon Fire Company
  • Provided 1000 pounds of food to the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard
  • Repaired and updated the Ambler Kiosk
  • Purchased 2 in-car camera systems for Ambler Police department

 

SOME OF WHAT WE’VE DONE IN THE WORLD:

  • Supported Shelter Box initiatives for disaster victims throughout the world.
  • Purchased hundreds of wheelchairs as part of the Wheelchair Foundation.
  • Raised over $100,000 for the Polio Plus program of Rotary International to pursue the eradication of polio worldwide.
  • Supported “Bridges to Prosperity” in Africa, building pedestrian bridges connecting isolated villages.
  • Supported Water Pump projects for India bringing water to over 2,000 people.
  • Supported a water filtration project for Lima, Peru, providing clean drinking water for over 7,400 people.
  • Supported the Manyara Holistic Centre in Babati,Tanzania. Children at the Centre, most of whom were previously living in the streets, receive a bed, food, education, clothing, counseling and medical care
  • Rotoplast, providing cleft lip and palate surgeries for children in less developed countries
  • Purchased medical equipment for a hospital in India.
