The Rotary Club of Ambler is committed to making a difference in the lives of future generations. We find ways to empower youth, provide support and develop leaders.
Some of what we do:
- Host foreign exchange students and sponsor Ambler area students to study abroad
- Mentor and support Interact Clubs at Wissahickon High School and Wordsworth Academy.
- Co-sponsor and mentor the Montgomery County Community College Rotaract Club
- Provide home libraries for children in the Ambler Head Start program
- Sponsor students from local schools to attend the Camp Niedig Leadership Camp for High School Juniors who exhibit leadership potential.
- Award college scholarships to graduating seniors who live by Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
- Recognize accomplishments and service through designating Students of the Month from the five area high schools.
- Support initiatives to help families and children in need, summer camps, after school and educational programs.
Twice a year the Wordsworth Academy Interact Club plants trees in our community assisted by members of the Ambler Rotary Club. The Wordsworth Interact Club produced a video of their project for entry in Rotary International’s Interact “People’s Choice” award:
