Community Grants: Ambler Head Start

Share

Recognizing that books in the home is vital to early learning, the Charitable Trust of the Rotary Club of Ambler provided a home library for each student enrolled in Ambler Head Start. There are 20 children aged 3 to 5 enrolled in the program which is housed at Lower Gwynedd Elementary.

Each child received a bag containing 6 brand new books at 17 gently used. They also got crayons, colored pencils, markers and an alphabet coloring book. Each book had a personalized book plate identifying it as a gift from Ambler Rotary with the child’s name. Shown are Rotarian Diane Schueler and Community Grant Co-chair, Paula Kadel.
